Following his retirement as a pharmacist/health administrator, Julian pursued his interests in the Arts as a touring docent at the NC Museum of Art and the study of music history, theory, & composition at Meredith College. Being self taught, friends and colleagues encouraged him to formally study painting. His faculty has included Mary Ann K. Jenkins, and Leslie Ann Pruneau.
Julian focuses on landscapes from images obtained from his & his wife’s travel adventures. The majority of the proceeds from the sale of his paintings are donated to the Second Chance Scholarship Fund administered by Wake Technical Community College.
He is a native of Raleigh and attended Needham Broughton High School where his talents were supported by Alice Ehrlich and Bob Barnes. He completed his formal education at UNC-Chapel Hill & Duke University.
He and his wife Liz Clay Bradley live in the woods off of Yates Mill Pond Road with their terriers, Amazing Grace and Lucky McDougal.
